Nikon has just released the new D7200, its top-resolution DX camera. The new camera, compared to the previous Nikon D7100, is equipped with the EXPEED 4 processor and a better autofocus system, offering a better performance in low light. However, in Virtual Reality productions, these new features are not critical.
Apple has introduced the new A8 chip, the CPU used in the latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The new dual-core chip is 25% faster than the previous A7, while the M8b GPU is 50% faster than the M7. A detailed test of our latest Virtual Reality applications, running on the Apple iPhone 6, confirms that the A8 performance is amazing.
The iPhone 6 hi-res screen is valuable in Virtual Reality productions, as it’s particularly accurate in rendering a wide color gamut, without artifacts.
